Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon is a deep chasm within the Colorado Plateau carved by the Colorado River over a course of millions of years. The canyon is 277 miles long, up to 18 miles wide, and in places more than a mile deep. Although not the deepest canyon in the world, it's known for its visually overwhelming size and colorful and intricate walls.
