Sparsely populated but well-known for its scenery, the Eastern Sierra is a region in California comprising the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada and stretches from Lone Pine in the south to the Nevada line in the north. It includes Mono and Inyo counties and contains many of the Sierra’s most awe inspiring settings such as Mount Whitney (the highest mountain in the lower U.S.), Mono Lake, Bodie Ghost Town, and eastern entrance to Yosemite National Park.
